Description

Challah is a traditional Jewish braided bread.
It is deliciously soft and buttery with a lovely yeasty flavour similar to brioche.

Festive Challahs are traditional challah with a sweet filling, covered with icing sugar.

They are not a very sweet bread, so can be topped with savoury ingredients as well, great on a cheese or dried or fresh fruit platter.

Flavours:

Apple cinnamon
Ingredients: Stoneground White bread flour, spring water, Apple, cinnamon, nutmeg, sourdough yeast culture, free range eggs, butter, sugar, icing sugar, milk powder, cornflour, sea salt (un iodated).
Blueberry
Ingredients: Stoneground White bread flour, spring water, Blueberries, sourdough yeast culture, free range eggs, butter, sugar, icing sugar, milk powder, cornflour, sea salt (un iodated).
Citrus
Ingredients: Stoneground White bread flour, spring water, candied citrus peels, orange zest, lemon zest, sourdough yeast culture, free range eggs, butter, sugar, icing sugar, milk powder, sea salt (un iodated).
Preserved Fig
Ingredients: Stoneground White bread flour, spring water, candied green figs, sourdough yeast culture, free range eggs, butter, sugar, icing sugar, milk powder, sea salt (un iodated).

Additional information

STORING NOTE:	Store well wrapped. Will last up to 3 days. If storing in the fridge, keep well wrapped and use within 3 days as product will get crumbly and dry.
HEATING NOTE:	Preheat oven to 180°C. Defrost completely before baking. Bake for about 10 minutes until soft and warm to the touch. Will get crispy and chewy if overbaked, so don't cook until browned. You can toast sourdough slices from frozen.
FREEZER NOTE:	All sourdough breads freeze very well, but they must be fully defrosted before baking as they freeze very solid and won't cook to the centre if baked from frozen. It is recommended that you slice your sourdough before freezing
