Delicious as a snack or an accompaniment to a meal, Pita breads can be filled with all manner of  fillings and easily toasted or heated through in the oven. Size: approx 10 cm, round.

Description

Pitas are the perfect accompaniment bread, you can stuff them with all sorts of things or use them for dips. These soft breads can be toasted or warmed up in the oven straight from the freezer. All the sourdough products freeze really well and can keep for up to 6 months in the freezer.
Ingredients: Stoneground white bread flour, spring water, sourdough yeast culture, extra virgin olive oil, sea salt (un iodated).

STORING NOTE:

Store well wrapped. Will last up to 2 days. If storing in the fridge, keep well wrapped and use within 2 days as product will get crumbly and dry.

HEATING NOTE:

Can be toasted or warmed up in the oven straight from the freezer. Preheat oven to 180°C. Place pitas from frozen and heat until warmed through, about 10 minutes. They will get crispy when they turn brown so don't leave for too long if you want a pliable, soft pita.
You can cook from frozen in the toaster, make sure to dust off any ice crystals before toasting.

FREEZER NOTE:

Pitas freeze very well, remove from the packaging one by one to prevent cracking.
